This is hysterical!

I am a graphic designer & marketing consultant. Just a week ago, I had a client ask about abbreviating their name because it "seems to stick." But I gave them a big "NO!" Why? Because no one will ever stumble upon your service by googling LLB or LLBS&C. Just SAY what you DO. It's not just marketing, its branding and common sense.

So I join you in shouting "NOMO!"

Probably because most of us are from the technology field and we're thinking, "WTF, we're used to TLAs (three letter acronyms). What's this guy's problem? It's the language of busines in Ottawa!" ;^)

Notwithstanding, a funny editorial nevertheless and some good points too. Maybe if we just spoke English (or French) we'd all understand each other better...

TFTBCJ (thanks for the brief comment John).

So far, you're the only person to register a response to this one, which is funny, because I've been having heated discussions about this topic all week, and I've heard that the letter to the editor had newspapers "flying off the shelves" in certain government offices. July doldrums perhaps?
